Orange:
The orange is the fruit of the citrus species. Oranges are a healthy source of fiber, vitamin C, thiamine, folate, and antioxidants. They have multiple health benefits.
Colour of oranges is due to carotenoid. Along with vitamin C, carotenoids, polyphenols are also present in higher amounts in oranges. Carbohydrate content is low in oranges it means glycemic index is low, so blood sugar levels doesn’t increase by taking oranges.
On average we can take a medium size fruit per day, but we get all vitamins and minerals when the fruit is fresh.
Carotenoids and polyphenols acts as antioxidants due to this they reduce the free radicals present in the body caused by either by fat or stress,pollution etc. Both soluble and insoluble fibre is present in oranges,
Whole Orange Fruit VS Orange Juice

Definitely both are nutritious for our body, but whole fruit contain vit-C and fibre but when we take it as a juice we will lost pulp from it, so fibre is lost obviously vit-C increased in the orange juice. Orange naturally contains sugar level but when we add extra sugar it may increase blood glucose levels.
Much vit-C at a time is not recommended,when we come to whole fruit it contain high fiber and moderate vit-C. so, whole fruit is better than juice.
Th pulp of orange contain fibre, by taking it digestive problems may decreased and another important mineral calcium is also present in oranges which helps to maintain bone health.
Nutrition:
Orange contains sodium, potassium, calcium, fibre, magnesium and chlorine are present. Oranges increase resistance power for our immune system because of its high content of vit-C. In cold and fever conditions, citrus fruits are suggested to increase digestive system work properly. When we take orange juice along with lemon may not effected by cold.
Calcium is useful to fliter the blood and pufify its vessels. By proper blood circulation heart functions are improved. Folic acid supplementation can be reduced or stopped by taking oranges in proper proportions. By this folic acid,our brain works accurately and keep us energetic.
Orange or orange juice is suggested for asthma and tuberculosis patients. By orange juice we can reduce kidney stones.
Blood pressure is also decreased by oranges juice, two glasses of orange is suggested daily. Diabetic patients are not suppose to take oranges without doctors prescription.
