Water For Weight Loss

As we all know, water is an inorganic, transparent, tasteless, odorless, and nearly colorless chemical substance. Where human body uses water in all its cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate its temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Because your body loses water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it’s important to rehydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water.
Though water is plain without any nutrients it helps to convert food into energy. Water helps your body absorb nutrients and helps you feel full longer, without adding any additional calories. In human body water is stored in intracellular fluid (ICF), the fluid within cells. extracellular fluid (ECF), the fluid outside the cells.
How Much Water Should We Drink Per Day?
Our body is made of about 60% of water. We will automatically lose some amount of water from the body in the form of urine and sweat. So dehydration occurs. To rehydrate you need to drink adequate amounts of water.
There are many rules about drinking water. But according to health authorities its good to drink 8 glasses of water per day, its equal to about 2 litres. So this is called the 8×8 rule and is very easy to remember.
Does Drinking Lot of Water Helps You Lose Weight?
All the functions of the body are dependent on water, that’s why we consider water for weight loss.
Drinking 2 litres of water per day increased energy expenditure by about 96 calories per day. Its better to drink cold water because your body will need to expend more calories to heat the water to body temperature.
Drinking water before you eat also reduce the calories. If you drink water 30 mins before your meal you will eat less amount of food which helps you to not gain weight.
Water also remove toxic substance from the body and cleans our body. So that we are detoxified by water.
You can also take some fruits, juices instead of water all over the day, as they also contain high moisture content. Some of the fruits that can be replaced by water are mentioned below.

- Plum- 85%

Drinking water helps boost your metabolism, cleanse your body waste, and acts as an appetite suppressant. Also, drinking more water helps your body stop retaining water, leading you to drop those extra water weight.
If we drink more water it comes out in the form of sweat, it contain unnecessary wastes. And drinking hot water also burn fat.
By knowing all these functions, we can say that water helps in weight loss.
